The Legend of The Golden Cucumber, in native language Timun Mas, is a folklore from Indonesia about a journey of a young woman who fought to defeat the giant with only 4 small sacred sacks. The word "EPIC" on the paper diorama truly represents the bravery of the little girl Timun Mas in defeating the giant. Choosing the color red for the emphasis on the artwork creates the giant a more intense and scarier creature. Moreover, the composition of objects on the scene helps directs the audience's eyes flow to the red color of Timun Mas on the right edge where the story ends. Overall, I really enjoyed making this paper cutting diorama.
