The brief was to choose an animal, attempt visual study, try imagemaking and then compile it into a book. I chose to work with a cat, i studied about its postures, habits, behaviour etc. Then i found a poem by Flying Lemming called ‘The daily life of a cat’ which i adapted for this book. I looked at concrete poetry as i was very intrigued by it and attempted it here. This exercise helped me to develop an understanding of various materials and visual approaches, it also helped me build on my composition skills.

Here i tried to mould clay into the form of a cat and then i digitally created motifs inspired by Worli art on the form using Adobe Photoshop.
In this spread, i collected pieces of different types of fabric and used them to make this form.
Here, i used water colours for the eyes and the rest was done digitally.
