张之洞与武汉博物馆 Museum of Zhang Zhidong in Wuhan
张之洞是晚清名臣、洋务派代表人物，1889年因建卢汉铁路移任湖广总督，开启长达18年的“湖北新政”。这座博物馆以张之洞和武汉命名，不仅仅是在历史中看张之洞以及张之洞的治鄂兴革，更是放到今天的城市发展和生活层面来讨论张之洞的“遗产”。因此，我们并不依循历史时间线性叙事，而是采用主题的划分方式，来理解那段历史与今天的关系。在展览的导视和平面设计上，我们把文字与信息当成了一种“特殊展品”来对待，使其与空间发生关系。是对空间结构的另一种支撑，也是与展览内容的某种协奏。字是符号、信息、还是图形，取决于观众观察它时的位置。
This museum is dedicated to Zhang Zhidong, who was a renowned late Qing Dynasty courtier. It's intended not only to present historically Zhang and the transformation of the city of Wuhan under his governance, but also to encourage discussions of his legacies in light of rapid urban development and everyday life in contemporary China. Thus, instead of a linear historical narrative, we adopt a thematic approach in order to understand the contested relationship between that chapter of history and our present. In terms of graphic design, we strived to show a collision between history and modern.
