Project Overview
The National Sports Festival is the largest general sports event in Korea. It has been held every year in various cities since Seoul in 1920 and so far in 2019, and it is the 100th annual sports event this year. Seoul, the capital of South Korea and the first host city to host the 100th event, has the symbolism of the past 100 years. We have developed graphic identities of posters and various promotional media that contain the identity and meaning of this contest
Design Concept
Flame, a fire that has been around for 100 years, is the spirit of the National Sports Festival that connects the beginning and the present and even the future. Therefore, the main graphic were created with the motif of "flame." The S-shaped logo type, developed to highlight the 100th anniversary and host city of Seoul, has many meanings. The symbolic meanings of S are "SPORT," which symbolizes athletic competitions, "SPIRIT," the sports spirit, and "SEOUL," the host city. Also, Its formative meanings are 'TRACK LINE' and 'FLAME'.
