The bow is a rather versatile fashion accessory or clothing item as it is used by both women and men, around the neck, as a clothing embellishment, as shoelaces or to tie up one’s hair. Furthermore, its use may intend to create an androgynous look, especially if used by women. However, that is not the main point of this illustration project.

The main goal of these four illustrations is to show the same object in different contexts, in this case, a bow. In each illustration, a female character is wearing a red bow in four distinct ways already mentioned.

Besides this, the illustrations and its drawing style aim to present those characters with a powerful and fierce look. They wear the bows proudly and do not care about what is agreed to be female or male clothing.
