In celebration of International Women's Day 2020, Rebobinart, a cultural and street art organization in Barcelona, initiated a new artistic program called "Wall Claim" at the Cultural Center of Farinera del Clot. They invited me to create an artwork in conjunction with the Women's Day programming at the center (talks, protests, and other events) organized during the week. The mural is entitled "Celebrating Female Artists" and intends to shed light on the under representation of women in the street art and arts community. Depicting women in various acts of artistic creation (making graffiti, drawing, painting a mural, sketching, and painting), the artwork is dedicated to my female artist friends, and hopes to show a positive aspect of solidarity and strength among women artists in the community, as we build each other up and demonstrate models of success to a younger generation of female artists.
