II Encuentro Cultura y Ciudadanía
‘II Encuentro Cultura y Ciudadania’ is a meeting organised by the Culture Ministry of Madrid, to foment the culture and citizenship between the local and the rural. It involves a big number of organisations, groups or spaces that produce, foment and promote cultural events, festivals, debates and cultural practices.
We were asked to do the identity, giving special importance to the word Territory, as it was their theme for this second meeting. We suggested several proposals.
Second Proposal
The second proposal: “The bit and the everything”.
We saw the city, the centre, and the periphery as a territory that changes depending on the point of view of the person who is looking at it. Countries, regions or institutions are separated by physical limits. Each of them is represented by characteristics, which makes it different to the rest.

Our objective was to find a graphic representation that could link the centre with the periphery, as well as the city with the peripheral environment.
We worked with graphic elements as if they were puzzle pieces, to create this territory that changes constantly no matter what. They work as different elements, which relate to each other.
