Nicoya Peninsula Waterkeeper occupies a critical niche in the area as a caretaker, steward, and voice of the ocean and coastal watersheds. They needed an identity that communicate their incredible work, Costa Rica and the world had to know as soon as possible about the environmental problem. Sharing with them gave me clarity to create a human, organic and transparent brand idea that met their needs and those of their audience in different communication channels.

Water pollution in the community was growing and our focus was evident, to communicate a story whose axis was to try to counteract the problem as efficiently as possible. I achieved this through an identity that creates awareness and educates people along with a communication that seeks to involve the community and create more channels to raise funds. All under the same brand ideal: Helping You Become A Guardian Of The Water.

I created a clean and organic logo. I unified a drop of water and a seahorse, as symbols of the work they do and the area where they work. Also, I used a minimalist and modern typography.

I defined a color palette with black, white, and blue as primary colors, and a variety of secondary colors to represent memberships.

Using organic photos and graphics as visual language, I created a website to tell their story and raise funds.

The client was very happy and grateful with the results, the impact has been very positive. They now have a strong and clearly defined brand identity. Thanks to the different communication channels, the exposure has grown significantly in the community, in the country and in the world. In addition, 50% more annual funds have been raised. Website traffic has increased by 40% and serves as a platform for donations.
