Branding Guidelines
The Challenge
HotDocs is a document automation platform with the AbacusNext family of legal and accounting products. Its advanced templating system is among the most widely used within the industry. However, their old website wasn’t able to showcase the capabilities of the tool; most of its navigation was hidden in a menu.
To do this, we needed to update the site to be visually appealing and easy to navigate. By using analytics to determine the most frequently visited pages and insight from stakeholders, we created a more efficient information architecture to allow for a smooth experience. With the help of a modernized color palette and expanded weights for their typography, the new site design and structure increased demo submission conversions by 24.6% period over period.

The Power Of Templates
Before this redesign began, AbacusNext wanted to use HotDocs as a template for their remaining products. With this in mind, we were able to create a design system based around content wells that could be easily restyled to that product’s branding.
This system gave AbacusNext the ability to create well-designed, internal pages on their own without the attention of a developer.
