Chair design for Enlightened - an exhibition exploring lasers in design. The entire chair is made of clear, 12mm Perspex and is made up of 77 individual pieces.
 
Briefed to create something that was beautifully elegant and graphic from one angle, whilst detailed & intricate from another. From the front and back, the chair barely looks like a chair, more a rigid interlocking group of vertical and horizontal lines, where as from the side it is highly flourished and fluid.
 
The chair was well received at Enlightened, with Perspex ® themselves featuring it as an inspirational piece.
