Wooshi is the brainchild of Stephanie, an astrophysicist who decided that applying the laws of physics and chemistry to search for life in distant galaxies was pretty undemanding. She wanted a real challenge. Like exploring the depths of the human condition to analyse how happiness can be triggered at will. So she put her three PhD’s, four decades of experience, seventy-five million of family money, and forty-six team members to good use, and came up with the perfect solution.

Ok, maybe that’s not entirely accurate. What is true though, is that, in our own way, we have tried to invent a mind space that is all about happy vibes. And called it Wooshi.

Wooshi was created out of a belief that inclusivity is the recipe for uniqueness and happiness. The more ideas and inspirations on the table, the more fun the outcome.

So we collaborate on everything. We get customers to put their Chef hat on and whip up their own rolls and bowls from ingredients from all over the world. We open our doors to artists and ask them to paint the store red (or orange or turquoise) in their own style. We push family and friends to suggest the craziest flavours possible, and then embarrass them by actually producing those. We ask designers thousands of miles away to have a go at our packaging and uniforms.

The end result? A brand that transforms every sushi meal into a celebration of awesome recipes, cool art and crazy ideas.

That, to us, is what happiness is all about.
