The following were a set of logos that I designed for Generation 2000's St. Ann Chapter Launch. G2K is a Jamaican youth political organization and they had recently established a chapter in the parish of St. Ann. These logos ended up not being used in the end. 

Above were the original sketches. Usually when designing logos I set up a thought table to streamline the process. I usually fill all the fields but I was liking what I was seeing with this selection so I decided to just run with them. St. Ann is known as the garden parish, so the client stressed that a some kind of foliage or flora be included in the design. Also the symbol for the Jamaica Labour Party - the political party that G2K was spawned from - is a green bell, so that needed to be included as well.

Here are the digital versions drafted in Adobe Illustrator CS5. We ended up agreeing on the two following designs out of the batch. The seedling version symbolizes youth and growth, whereas the tree signifies wisdom and longevity.
