Iriomote-jima.
Okinawa, Japan.

It was about time to try the new Olympus OM-D EM-1 Mark III in the field.
We experienced the best test environment as it was raining most of the time.
Like our equipment we were soaked until our underwear at the end of the day.
But no big deal in such a warm climate and with excellent gear.
I did not know before, that this part of Japan is tropical.
Lonely beaches, lush forests, mangroves, small interesting wildlife and nice locals is what we found.
As winter is more off season we did not experience many crowds.
Still it is a holiday destination for Japanese people, so it can be a bit more crowded in summer.
However it is always fantastic what unique places you can find all over this planet.
A lifetime not long enough to explore it all.
