Ailes of Trance
Created for Depthcore XLI – Mirror, Aisles of Trance is a piece of surreal art about a confusing time of my life. I was unsure, and torn. The man in the center symbolizes me, being pulled in every direction. The overall concept of mirroring and reflections represent the endless cycle of events which either led me back to where I started, or was a complete mirage. The figures in the back with illustrate my feeling of heaviness, tortured, and trapped, and the open windows and birds represent the only space in which I felt I could be free at the time.
Look closely though, there are no duplicates or simple flips in this image – lots of time was spent to make sure of it.
