Happy New Year!
This is a comic project I did for Nike to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
My protagonists are two girls, they are best friend and also like to competing with each other.
There are 3 little stories in their new year holiday.
The campaign of this year is ‘新年不承让’， it encourages everyone continue doing exercising during their holiday,
And be passionate about life.
The first story is about two girls who have a better selfie pose.
During Chinese New Year, relatives and friends always have party/ want to gathering with each other.
I observed that everyone will take selfies and maybe post online, or share with other friends who could not attend the party.
It was the basic idea of this story, and both the girls want to win the selfies pose competition.
Dumplings are traditional food for the CNY. The second story is about two girls going to the grocery market to buy dumpling stuffing.
Whoever get the stuffing first and she could decided which dumpling they will eat in the holiday.
In the end of this story, short hair girl run super fast ! and win the competition!
But then her mother message her that they are going to have the New Year Dinner in the restaurant.
In the third story, two girls shopping at the New Year's market. They heard that there is a delicious rice cake, but only the last one is left. So they started the running competition again, hoping to buy the last rice cake.
Finally, when they arrived at the rice cake shop, they found that the ‘ LAST ONE’ was the name of the shop, and both of them could have the delicious rice cakes.
