Waffle Lamps
Waffle Lamps were created during Design Project, themed around Manufacturing and Production Processes.
The aim of the project was to understand chosen production process from beginning to end, map out and accordingly intervene, reinvent or improve and then devise a product.
I chose Vacuum Forming as it is low tech, low cost driven production process, industrial design students often use for rapid prototyping.

The outcome of the project were: Waffle Lamps
The process of creating waffle lamps, the hollow sections of the mold pattern were used to give the resulting form,

Step 1: Make a Basic Shape on 3D Software (Autodesk Fusion)
Step 2: Use Autodesk Slicer to Achieve the Desirable Slicing Pattern
Step 3: Laser Cut the Sections and Assemble the Mold Pattern
Step 4: Vacuum Form Thermoplastic using the Mold Pattern
The following project was done in Exchange Semester at Willem de Kooning Academie, Rotterdam under the guidance of Rachel Griffin, Gaspard Bos and Jon Stam.
