CMSD ANNIVERSARY MAGAZINE
Task: To create a 50-page magazine to commemorate the work of the Community Mediation Service Division for its 12-year anniversary. Since this anniversary is considered the pearl anniversary, that was to be a major design motif within the magazine.
Outcome: A horizontal format was chosen to better accommodate immersive photography and an illustration based approach was taken to create a primary design motif of flowers and pearls on
the cover.
The illustrated pearl motif is also used in the horizontal bars around each section title for continuity.
In addition, colour blocking was utilized to add visual interest and is juxtaposed by the liberal use of white space.
