A personal brand is known assist with directly establishing the expression, definition, and communication of who an individual is. It ultimately projects what makes a person unique, what their values showcase, and produces a form of recognition by unifying elements into a personal system. In stating this, my concept developed with gathering adjectives that primarily described me as a person. The key words included integrity, determination, maturity, organization, unique, and creativity. In providing this, I generated my brand essence of “creatively determined for unique developments.”
With that in mind, I explored different logo ideas that consisted of graphic and
typographic elements that represented the adjectives. In the end, I chose my signature to be my logo because I feel as though it displays the concept of my uniqueness, creativity, and maturity. With my typographic exploration, I chose to gather fonts that were San Serifs, to represent my organization and integrity traits due to the slick and uniformity of the type. I also chose a bold font as my heading type to display the boldness of my determination in doing my best with anything that I am faced with. In exploring the color palette for my brand, I essentially chose the colors of dark grey, white, and a hue of light green to assist with showcasing the mood of my brand—ambition, intelligence, maturity, and integrity. With combining these elements, I created a branding system that defines who I am as an individual, what I stand for, and the uniqueness that I provide in the world.
Therefore, I made it a priority to display the elements of my brand for my business card, cover letter, and envelope. I chose the dark grey to be my background color because of the neutrality that the color displays, and also to create a contrast the for the colors of the type, which include white and the hue of green. In addition, I chose for the color white to mostly display my logo to produce a distinct appearance all while illustrating the concept of integrity and honesty. I also chose the hue of green to represent my brand essence phrase to create a distinction of it from my logo. In all, the primary elements of my brand identity include my logo, name, brand essence, and colors. They all work cohesively to enable the system to be open, responsive, and distinct. In the end, they all uniquely come together to produce a well-composed branding system that displays my personality.
