Problem:
I wanted to create a magazine cover that focused on the issue and dangers of climate change. I also never had came across a magazine that displayed climate change and global warming in an urgent manner. In my opinion, I felt as though there needed to be a magazine cover that displayed this information as important and life threatening rather than in a soft way, so that viewers could take the topic more seriously.
Solution:
I designed a magazine cover that illustrated the dangers of climate change and pollution while displaying more of a serious/fearful type of mood. I also made a man who is wearing a quarantine suit the center of my composition to show how the future for humans could possibly be. I also added a burning sky, burned ground, polluted water, trash, and hue adjustments to my cover to ultimately reveal the reasoning of my magazine.
Results:
I created an impacting cover that will allow people to be more serious about nature. It also made some of my reviewers think of how much of a problem this actually is for the planet. In all, I received good commentary.
