Wayfinding for Shubenacadie Provincial Wildlife Park
The Shubenacadie Provincial Wildlife Park is set in 40 hectares of natural woodlands, and is home to
about 90 species of mammals and birds, two interpretive centres, hiking trails, a picnic area and playground.
In 2016, the Park embarked on a series of strategic planning exercises to increase visitation numbers,
improve the visitor experience, and create a more cohesive identity for the site. As part of achieving these goals, I collaborated with AldrichPears Associates (APA) to develop a Wayfinding Signage Plan that led to the creation of new park signage, unique trail identities, a redesigned park map and an updated visitor brochure.
