My second first year lighting project, I designed and made architectural lighting for a restaurant inspired by British industrial designer Tom Dixon I went with a pendant light design to hang over tables to create soft ambient lighting using LEDs. The frame is constructed from black anodised aluminium with the whole thing held together by hidden leather straps making it structurally sound, I used a clear acrylic sphere along with stainless steel wire to hold up the structure. Overall it was an interesting project which I learnt new things from that  I will take forward with me into my second year of uni.
