Illustration created for the project "Rhymes Revisited" and the object of my project is to look back at old nursery rhymes and create alternate ideas and designs to what the general public think of and so I decided to have a modern day sub-theme for my work to keep the project contempory.
The layered marker pen drawing shown below was a piece to show a pimp/gangster like version of Humpty Dumpty as he is sat on his wall that he has just graffitied
"Humpty Dumpty Was Ere 2K12" and "Egg Crew" and dressed in his pin-striped suit, cane and hat and smoking his ciggarettes. The element of humour was always something I wanted to include in the project, as there are rings on the outside of his gloves and stubble as well as the other things mentioned. The layered drawing also helps to convey the movement and the character that is the pimp Humpty Dumpty, particularly the ciggarettes and the expression on his face.
To me he almost has the look as well of "Pitbull!"
