De-Emphasizing Corner Foam Board Cube

The Process
I constructed this cube with foam board. The design made to emphasize all faces of the cube and also de-emphasize the corners. I attempted doing this by leaving a recess that covers all sides. It also serves as a passage for the circles to travel, as if it were a marble travelling down a rudimentary device. Split at the middle, there is symmetrical balance.

There's a variety of shapes including circles, triangles, and other four-sided polygons. Pencil marks from the original plan are still legible on the cutouts. I began with a grid system that was subdivided into triangles whenever needed. By doing that, I minimized the use of my resources.

To cut away the shapes, I used a snap-blade knife.

If constructed again, I would take a more patient and meticulous approach to this. The flaws and inconsistencies of this show throughout the sculpture. Glaring issues are apparent at the corners (the right side upper corner is a primary example of my flawed execution. Notice how the shape doesn't meet the edge entirely. I glued the parts pre-cut when I could have cut the parts after they were glued to give it better edges).

This was my first ever foam core sculpture, so practice makes perfect (not really, perfection is not always attainable, but at least I can strive towards it).
