Running from March to June 2019, the ‘Design 35 Community Challenge’ offered 35 aspiring artists, illustrators and designers a Spaza shop as a ‘blank’ canvas. Giving each artist the opportunity to transform a Spaza shop with their creativity and flair. I was lucky enough to be one of the finalists of the competition who's illustration was painted on Spaza shops around South Africa.
