Stickers That Mean Something

Finding Identity in Stickers
For this project, my objective was to create three stickers. I wanted these to stickers to be clean and simple. Coming up with the idea of the stickers was a bit of a challenge. I wanted to create stickers that represent things that I enjoy, but I enjoy a lot of things. I came up with the guitar because I enjoy listening to music. The cactus represents my love for warmer weather and sunny days. The ground beef cow was because I enjoy good jokes, and I also really like cows.
The above image shows my sketches. I played around a lot with different shapes and concepts. I also thought about different concepts like animals or Christmas. While I was sketching I tried to focus on getting the concept down super fast and then focus on the details later. After I was done sketching, I started working on my draft.
The above image shows my draft. With the guitar, I received feedback about how pointy looking the body of the guitar was. I also noticed how the flowers on the cactus had a thin stroke that was not helping my overall design. With the hat, I needed to work on cleaning everything up and getting rid of tangents. The ground beef sticker needed help with the strokes and the alignment of the words.
These are what my final stickers ended up looking like. After getting feedback from my draft, I worked on paying attention to the little details. I took away strokes in certain places, added strokes in different places and worked on smoothing everything out. I think my stickers meet the objective because I was able to keep the design clean and simple while still creating stickers that represent things that I like.
