Turkish Tuborg. 360 VR Experience for advertising company
360 video advertising company for Turkish Tuborg.
Our team was responsible for on-set supervising and post-production for entire 12 minutes video. In case of short timeline(45 days from brief to final delivery), we decided to use Unreal Engine to create all exterior shots. Below you can find 2 minute sample and breakdown.
For the immersive experience, the 3d interior of car was precisely matched to real interior replica of Oriental Express that was build inside Mercedes Sprinter Van.
We created a 360 static renders, loop for curtains animation and window/door opening animation. Live action footages was filmed using Arri Alexa and 12mm Cooke lens. Thanks to Cooke lens that has low distortions we had an ability to film close to subject and then composite it with 360 interior shots.
One of the key component was to design the transition between shots. 10 minutes video consists of 12 scenes, so blinking light transition was good solution to hide cuts between shots. Also, DOP and Light technicians designed a light set-up to simulate Sun changes during entering to the tunnel.
All exterior graphics was developed in Unreal Engine. Camera motion through tunnels was matched with on-set light changes to achieve realistic look.
