The images shown in this series are a collection of works to break away from the concept of standard portraits and to go for the different approach. The concept is to show ideas of the human soul and emotion and behaviour through Exposure Photography, in particular
"Extreme emotions" as we as viewers oftern shy away from these situations when faced with them and dont like to see it in others and yet can be quite eyecatching in imagery and also the idea of how every emotion triggers new sets of ideas when studied. Done with my friend, fellow artist and Behance member Sam Stevenson, for which a link to Sam's portfolio is at the bottom of the post. This for me was very much an interesting approach as well to play the roles of both the photographer and the model. Whilst taking these pictures, I noticed how hot that the pulse light used for lighting had got and so immediately came the idea and spontaneous production to scream at the pulse light and try and make a striking image and the focus for many of my photographs was to not use the main rule of clarity in photography when making them but to incorporate noise and movement to further portray the emoitions. Some variations I added more clarity, but still didnt want to go entirely in that direction and so made elements of blurring with focus. Sam on the other hand decided to go the clear route and as such made the photos of me, the last two in particular which still amaze me as we didnt use a tripod.
