Infernopolis – Atelier van Lieshout / Submarine Wharf

Infernopolis – Atelier van Lieshout
Museum Boijmans van Beuningen / Submarine Wharf
Each year Museum Boijmans van Beuningen organizes an exhibition at the Port of Rotterdam in an abandoned submarine wharf. This time the exhibition 'Infernopolis' about Joep van Lieshout was arranged. His work is about endless circulation, self-sufficiency, cradle to cradle and even the recycling of human beings. With these facts as a starting point an endless leporello was made. The inner and hidden side of the loop shows one the gigantic sculptures exhibited on the wharf.
