Pulau Ubin | 乌敏岛
Located north east of the main island of Singapore, Pulau Ubin is sometimes described as a place where one could get a glimpse of early Singapore. The island was once home to a population of about 2000 between the 1950s and 1970s. While, today it is home to only roughly 38 residents (2012).

The island is part of the Ubin-Khatib Important Bird Area and one could also find otters, mudskippers, hornbills, wild boars and monkeys inhabiting the island. This largely untouched part of Singapore is also an attractive spot for outdoor activities such as cycling, camping and kayaking.
Here are some images of the process behind the piece : the sketch and the outline before colouring.
