Kaya Toast
A staple breakfast dish and sometimes even as a light meal around this part of Asia. Recently, I had a couple of vibrant conversations about how one likes their kaya toast, and I have also eaten quite a number of them on my morning rides....I decided to draw some of the places that serve this dish and does it differently from one another.
Here are some of the places where you can find kaya toast, from sliced bread to buns, from green to brown kaya, with chilled butter to partially melted butter, from heritage eateries to chain bakeries, from toaster to charcoal grill from the traditional to the contemporary ,....there are many variations to this ubiquitous breakfast food.

Included a few from our neighbours as well such as the kaya toast from Kluang Rail Coffee in Kluang or On Lok Yun in Bangkok which is pretty popular with Singaporean tourists. Some of the eateries inside has closed such as Hup Lee and Chin Mee Chin Confectionery (but it might be re-opening).
