Hayley Ninnis has served as a customer service representative for Hunt Auctions, LLC, since February 2018, where she has gained expertise in sports memorabilia. She uses her knowledge to attract potential customers by answering product questions and providing accurate, valid, and complete merchandise information. When not working, Hayley Ninnis loves gardening and especially enjoys growing plants that bloom at night, including the moonflower.

The moonflower is a large white or purple trumpet-shaped flower that opens in the evening and closes at sunrise. The flowers bloom on a climbing vine and give off a fragrance when open. Although the blooms only open at night, all day long their heart-shaped leaves also add beauty to a garden.

Ample ground space is not needed to grow moonflowers, but since they are climbers they do require a trellis or similar support. These flowers are perennials in areas with mild winters and annuals in places where the winters are colder. To care for moonflowers, water the small plants regularly and then more frequently as the vines grow larger. Additionally, high phosphorus fertilizer at half strength should be used regularly to encourage more blooms.
