On November 9, 2019, Hunt Auctions hosted an event that featured the sale of dozens of jerseys formerly belonging to Major League Baseball (MLB) Hall of Fame inductees as well as thousands of autographed items and hundreds of game-used bats. The collection was curated by Ohio native Bob Crotty over nearly five decades and is regarded as one of the most impressive private collections of sports memorabilia ever assembled. Crotty displayed the items at a private museum since 2007. Moreover, the museum has attracted former MLB players like Randy Johnson and Reggie Jackson for speaking engagements.

Featured items included a Harry Hooper Boston Red Sox road jersey from 1919 that sold for $140,000 and a Lloyd Waner Pittsburgh Pirates road jersey from 1933 that sold for $120,000. Some of the proceeds from the auction were donated to Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation, which matches shelter dogs with veterans diagnosed with PTSD.
