Illustration project for Shock, the second LP by italian band L' Introverso.
The band main request was to illustrate a Han'nya, a popular japanese mask used in Nō theater, to symbolize the main themes of the album - inner demons, mood swings and battles with negative tendencies; also requested, an horror athosphere, a slight inclination to the decadence of Ero Guro artistic movement.
We choose to integrate a braid to the mask, gradually formed hair by hair, which gradually hides some eyeballs used as hair decorations, to recall the consinstent sense of oppression contained in the lyrics.
Then we worked on a color scheme based on traditional japanese woodblock prints.
