Vitamin Angels and Walgreens Join Forces to Support Women and Children
Prior to serving as CEO of Capstone Affluent Strategies, Darin Pastor was a senior vice president at JPMorgan Chase where he oversaw over 200 financial advisors in Southern California. Darin Pastor gives back to the community by supporting a number of charitable institutions, including Vitamin Angels.
Committed to saving the lives of mothers and children who are at risk of malnutrition by distributing vitamins and nutritional guidance, Vitamin Angels maintains a network of technical, field, and corporate partners that share the goal of creating a healthier world. One of Vitamin Angels’ corporate partners is Walgreens, one of the largest US drugstore chains that operates 9,560 branches.
For the last six years, Vitamin Angels and Walgreens have worked together to support over 200 million women and children in the country and abroad. In January 2019 alone, Walgreens’ Quarter Drive customer donation program raised $1.5 million to support Vitamin Angels’ programs. Walgreens has also allocated one percent of the total sales of its vitamin products to the charity.
