Created exclusively for the current Family Store exhibition in Brighton - "Frames"
"Frames" is a group collective exhibition drawn from a love of the art of movies. It was a competition entry to design a piece of artwork in any format based solely on a specific movie still of our own choice. This exhibition is open for a month, starting on the 3rd Oct (2019).

I created this piece digitally from the 1986 movie Labyrinth. Labyrinth is a musical fantasy film directed by Jim Henson, with George Lucas as executive producer. It was a childhood favourite of mine and of course it helped that the ever amazing David Bowie plays a feature role!
This frame is one of my favourite parts of this whole sequence. I was really into surrealist art when I first saw this movie as a kid. I loved the obvious nod to Escher. This frame can be viewed in either direction and I enjoyed flipping it upside down to reveal the same mood.

For display purposes for the exhibition, I printed 15 limited edition giclee prints of my entry.
These giclee prints are currently for sale via www.alxndra.com and Family Store
