Brief: Create a Typebook explaining the rules and guidelines of Typography.
Challenge: Make a personalized study guide for Typographical reference.
Thinking: On the second page of the Typebook, we were assigned to make
“The Anatomy of Type” so I chose to tie-in my interest in history and the evolution of Typography.
Solution: I chose the word “Anthologie” because it means “a published collection”, usually of writing (I used the French ‘ie’ spelling so I could fit in an extra character).
Being interested in the historical significance of Typography, I laid out the characters from from left to right in a somewhat chronological order of typeface styles, Blackletter to Geometric.
