Garden Snail Brand Identity

Category: Brand Identity

Brief: Create a Brand Identity for a random animal.

Challenge: Using an expanded process, create a visual representation for a Garden Snail, based on its habitat, traits, and characteristics.

Thinking: After research, the shell showed itself to be the core of the snail’s life and identity.

Solution: Focus was put on the shell as the centre of the design, not just visually but also symbolically. The pattern on the shell naturally draws the viewer’s eye with its hypnotic swirl pattern. The primary colour is based on the slime trail that snails leave behind them. For the street banner mockup, the background pattern represents the slime trail and the snail appears as if hanging from the light pole, as snails tend to perch precariously, stuck on the edges of objects in the garden.
