The prominent century house on Ballindamm 17 at the heart of Hamburg is to undergo a complete renovation and revitalization.
Its sculptured façade with tracery-like ornaments and reliefs reflects Romanesque, Byzantine, and Gothic architecture.
The magnificent office building was designed by the renowned architects Lundt & Kallmorgen for the Portuguese ship owner A.C. de Freitas.

The design represents the decorative character of the building and implements it into typographic and illustrative elements. Lavish and extravagant titles, gold applied in various printing techniques, contrasting darker green tones, and glistening varnish, reflect on a century of wealth, combining it with subtle and modern typographic compositions.
