I visited Burano, Venice Italy for the first (and so far only) time in August of 2018. It was 105˚ F in the afternoon that we were there. Earlier that morning my Fuji DSLR camera stopped working while exploring Venice. I was left with just my iPhone to capture what I saw in Burano. 

This painting was done with the Adobe Fresco app on my iPad, working from one of my iPhone photos. The entire painting is done with Fresco oil brushes, except for the plants. I used built in FX foliage brushes for them.

I enjoyed the experience of painting this so much that I am now working on my second painting of Burano.
