BASIC ILLUSTRATION

Description
This is an illustration workshop where I first learned to draw my own characters and reignited my passion for illustration. The workshop covered subjects such as: Introduction to Character Design, Isometric Perspective in Illustration. The Final Project would be using these basic concepts to design a set of mascots for a mock brand's line of Yogurt aimed at children age 6 to 12.
1. CHARACTER DESIGN
I shuffled up keywords and randomly picked them out for tags such as Animal, Activity and Emotion. Then I created a character according to these keywords.
I created random characters with random organic shapes.
2. ISOMETRIC PERSPECTIVE
I used to be really afraid of drawing vehicles, but completing this little project has pushed me out of my comfort zone, and I truly appreciate it. So here are some cute patterns I made from these isometric vehicles:
This is the backyard of a pig family during rainy season. They're taking drippy umbrellas out to dry on a rare sunny day.

This is a sad cowboy who feels like getting drunk and crying a little after reading a letter. His dog still cares about him though, so maybe he's not really hopeless after all :)

3. FINAL PROJECT
This is a mascot design project for a mock yogurt brand aimed at children 6 to 12.
(Please forgive the characters' lame names, I haven't been working on my Vietnamese names - to - English names translation skill.)
I started with a mood board for the kind of physique that I wanted my characters to have.
Then I made some pencil sketches. I think sketching with a pencil creates more room for imagination.
The good guys and bad guys' houses.
Some mock - ups of the drinking yogurt and stationery collectibles that come along with the drinking yogurt product.
