Obento! is a personal project of mine. I wanted to learn how to develop for the iPhone, and I was particularly inspired by Japanese bento boxes at the time, so I combined the two into a cute, simple app that shows you a box filled with a random assortment of sushi. This was a joint project with my friends at Springs & Struts, who helped out with the code while I did all the illustrations.
I put an email link in so people could send me requests for new sushi, and it still amazes me how many love letters I get about this app. The power of cute is fearsome indeed.
