Since mid 2019, I’ve been slowly working my way through an unused 300 pack of 3"x5" index cards, mistakenly bought off the recommendation of a class materials list. Its become its own challenge of finding new ways to work in such a specific framework while still trying to showcase a variety of compositions and characters. Producing these small works has been forced me to become more thought out in larger pieces I’m working on. They have also been very beneficial in seeing myself grow as an artist when the slower nature of larger drawings often don’t provide clear snapshots of my technical progress or give me the same freedom in creative development.
