Harvest Time
The first time I saw the Palouse was when I drove from Indiana to Moscow, Idaho to attend forestry college in late August of 1988. The wheat farmers were harvesting the wheat on the rolling hills, and the pattern created by the rows of mown stalks made landscape appear to be covered in corduroy. I've been fascinated by the unique appearance of Palouse wheat fields ever since. As another harvest arrived in 2019, I drove out into the countryside to take a few pictures.
