Week 7 - Photography

The weeks task was focused on photography and correctly applying lighting and scale for certain situations.

The photo on the left is a photo taken on myself, the effect given by this photo is an ominous glow. The area in which the photo was taken was a shaded bench with one beam of light in front of my body. This presented the perfect opportunity to to apply the reflective panels provided in class. This used the warm tone to complement my features of red hair and pale skin while also softening the bright natural lighting.

The photo on the right was a photo of a fellow classmate, Ryan. This photo effectively uses the dominate natural light to show his features while providing light to the underside of his face, which would be in shadow, by using the warm reflective panel as contrast.

The first image represents a small scale object turning into a large, creating blurred background to accentuate scale.

The second image is a significantly sized boat located in the river, although due to scaling and positioning it seems rather small. No editing was used on this photo and taken with a standard iPhone camera.

The next 2 images are some unique textures i found around my home, a detailed smooth wood with texture and character, while the other is black mouse pad fabric, which although looks somewhat textured has a completely smooth feel and i quite unique.
