In Spring-Summer 2012, at Etamin Studio, I got to work on the redesign of TVShow Time, a very popular app for TV shows fans, available on the iPhone and iPod Touch.
One year later, I worked again for Toze Labs on redesigning one of the main sections of the app, following the user feedback gathered for over 6 months.
As a matter of fact, Antonio and Talal were not only the first startupers we worked with (along with Infinit.io) but they were also among our first clients. Back then, TVShow Time was already a beloved iOS app counting thousands of users, which made it a great app for every TV Show fan. But they came to us with a clear list of goals for the next version:
● Build a real social experience for the community
● Re-think the UX to bring more simplicity to an already complex app
● Create the beautiful UI design the app deserved for so long
● Re-think the UX to bring more simplicity to an already complex app
● Create the beautiful UI design the app deserved for so long
Through brainstormings, storyboards & wireframes, we came up with a lot of proposals to complete these 3 challenges. Here are 5 remarkable features that made their way to the final version that we’d like to highlight:
My TVShow Time
Emotions
New UI design pattern
A pretty and useful shelf design
Find new TV Shows
We were also very happy to see that Antonio and Talal have really mastered the development of these features and the hundred other little things we’ve designed. They even added smooth animations and gestures!
But, ultimately, what we were really proud of is to know that in only a week after the release of the new design:
● Download numbers have doubled
● More than 100k emotions were shared
● More than 150k users downloaded the update
● More than 100k emotions were shared
● More than 150k users downloaded the update
Get ready to hear more from them soon :-)
