Week 2: Image 5: "Extinguish". The final image of week two shows three different candles in three different stages of being used. The first candle is burning uninterrupted, the second candle is being extinguished by wind, and the final candle is completely extinguished expelling smoke. The primary technique used to showcase the different phases of the flame is blending, with the fire being a much more defined dark colour and the smoke being significantly lighter and seamless. Wax is shown dripping down the candle in the later photos, highlighting the change alongside the flame being put out.
