Dog Jacquard Cloth
This jacquard cloth was designed using Pointcarre, PhotoShop, NedGraphics and marker hand drawings. The concept revolves around the fact that dogs as humankind's companion is a universal idea incorporated into myths, folktales, stories and people's homes and lives throughout centuries. We may be different from one another, but many of us are connected through our love of dogs :)
This jacquard cloth is woven using two wefts - one black and one white.
The objective was to create multiple values through weave structure.

I ultimately chose to do a greyscale fabric because many cultures have different associations with colors, while black and white tends to be more universal.
