Day 34: Depends on your Perspective
So one feature that I truly dig about Tvori is that you can use a particular kind of camera called the Play Area, which in its default state resembles a low poly version of you as a user (see the wee avatar above with the green headset hanging out on the bar). What it does is that when you want to preview an animation from the POV of a virtual camera, this feature can give you that vital perspective. Here's a flattened version of what that looks like when I animated a 10 second loop of BuzzBee tonight, the difference being that it doesn't reflect the fact that you are :
It's this kind of intuitive and very UX design friendly feature that I would love to see more employed throughout the whole creative ecosystem and experiences. The fact that you can place a proxy in a location, press one button and then be instantly transported into that body, object or something else altogether, that seems like the most playful way to tackle the embodiment aspect of VR. It makes me wonder how this kind of utility will evolve especially as the lines blur between what art, a game, an experience or narrative is. Clearly, a Quantum Leap reboot via VR is needed ;)
I also painted and animated this flower natively in Tvori which I'll use as the protagonist flower in Unity. She's totally photobombing in that POV video. Cheeky.
