The Musandam Peninsula in Oman

The Musandam Peninsula is an Oman enclave North of the United Arab Emirates, jutting into the Strait of Ormuz, the narrow entry into the Persian Gulf. This tiny Oman territory resembles Scandinavian fjords for its exceptional relief and cliffs surrounding the sea, except for its extreme aridity. Landscapes are simply amazing, both around the shore and inside the country. A few dozens of kilometres Southwards, the Arabian sand dune desert starts.
