Salzburg University of Applied Sciences mainly focuses on practice-oriented academic training for its 2,700 students in the fields of engineering, health and media. At its different locations – Campus Urstein, Campus Kuchl and University Hospital Salzburg (SALK) –, the university offers a wide range of degree programmes of 18 bachelor and ten master degree courses in engineering, social and economic sciences, design, media and art as well as health sciences. These different disciplines are, however, identical in their strong emphasis on practice-oriented applied teaching and research – which guarantees attractive degrees in order to be able to meet current and future requirements in business and society with high-quality training.
For the annual report of 2015/16, we focused on highlighting the four disciplines as well as documenting the activities of the past academic year. The report includes articles on teaching and research, key figures and further facts compiled in infographics. Structured in a knowledge and research part, the different locations for each of the chapters were photographed with unusual visual axes. Flooded with light, the glass architecture is intensified by the use of different materials: coated and transparent paper combined with straight typography create haptic »perspectives«.
